There’s a brand new spot to get your caffeine fix on the Northside.
Roots Coffee House is now serving Java Republic Fairtrade coffee, locally sourced goodies from The Natural Foods Bakery and a range of herbal teas, drinks and snacks at Beech Hill Garden Centre in Montenotte.
All in the most magical setting in the city.
Run by a hard working team of trainee baristas and servers from the Cope Foundation, the café enjoys jaw dropping views – the perfect setting to fill your face with lemon cake, giant cookies, apple slices and danishes.
Many of the current young people on the staff at Roots are students at the Cope Foundation’s Bonnington Training Centre.
Working at the café helps staff who have learning difficulties to develop their confidence, learn customer service skills and progress to secure other jobs in similar businesses.
Don’t forget to check out the art on the walls when you visit, the art displayed at Roots is the work of staff members such as Florin Nolan, who is also responsible for the gorgeous flowers on the cafe’s tables.
You can follow Roots Coffee House on Facebook here for menu updates and news. We can’t think of a better place to sit back and soak up the heatwave sunshine.
