It was a fairytale bash.
A Cork couple with family connections to West Cork decided to celebrate their marriage with a party on the sand… and even Mother Nature got in on the planning.
The event was held earlier this month on the beautiful Galleycove Beach, just a stone’s throw from Barleycove and the seaside village of Crookhaven.
Looking at the pictures however, it could have happened on the French Riviera…
Guests at the dream beach-side bash, which was planned by the couple, Georgina and Bryan, with help from Carrigaline-based wedding planners Amy Daunt Weddings and Events, were bathed in sunshine as the bubbles flowed.
The bride and her bridesmaids wore white, adding a crown of fresh flowers for the special day.
A marquee set up for the day was festooned with fresh wreaths (the stunning 45 metre-long garland was created by Vintage Cut Flowers) and guests dined al fresco in the June sunshine.
Candles flickered in the evening breeze and guests went barefoot as the sun went down over the Atlantic ocean and the reception kicked off.
We can’t think of a more magical way to start married life.
