When an eye shadow palette sells out three times, you know you’re on to a good thing.

I wasn’t even an eyeshadow palette convert before I discovered make-up artist Louise McDonnell’s collab with BPerfect Cosmetics.

In fact, up until recently I’ve been totally guilty of lashing a sweep of bronzer onto my eyelids and running out the door with nary a glance at an eyeshadow at all.

The idea of faffing around with 20 eyeshadows to achieve ‘a look’ was as alien to me as decaf coffee or Crossfit.

Then I decided to take charge, be a grown-ass woman and give the BPerfect LMD Master Palette a bash.

Unlike so many other palettes, where you use one shade to death and the rest linger in the box for years until you finally throw them out, this little box (€29.95 from pharmacies and here) is full of gems.

The shades work well on any skin tone and each one has been carefully chosen to enhance your eye colour.

Keep to the matte tones for day time, then add a little sparkle and a dab of a darker shade in the outer corners of your eyes for a big night out.

In the middle of the box you’ll find three extra shades for face sculpting. There’s Hi-Lite, a subtle shimmer, Sculpt, for enhancing your cheekbones and defining your nose and chin, and Peachy, the only blusher you’ll ever need.

My advice is to stock up on some new brushes and play around with the shades in front of the mirror but you can also check out some handy tutorials on YouTube for a more professional result.

Oh; and when you’re in a hurry, a sweep of the ‘Prinny’ shade is all you need to get out the door.
